PickleSota Adventures will be planning a 7 day vacation to a different all-inclusive resort each year during the first week in December. These are pickleball themed vacations but the clinics, open play and competitions are totally optional. The main goal is to have fun with old friends and new friends. Non-pickleball playing travel partners are more than welcome.

Many of you already know the Head Pro at Drop Shot Pickleball, Rob Gray. Everyone will have the option to learn skills and strategy from Rob for one hour each morning. Learning groups will be divided by skill level. Rob and Theresa Russ (also from Drop Shot) will be assisting Coach Gray. Each morning will also include up to two hours of open play.

This PickleSota Adventure has a max capacity of 24 rooms at the Sandals South Coast - Jamaica resort. Pricing is based on double occupancy. A $400 pp refundable deposit per will secure your reservation for this December 2025 event. Bio and origin story
Hello PickleSota Adventurers,
For those that may not know me, I am the one in the yellow t-shirt. This photo is from a Drop Shot tournament. My mixed partner is Kris Reddy who might be joining us on this trip.
- Graduated from Prior Lake HS in 1987
- Graduated from Gustavus Adolphus College in 1991
- Raised a family in Hastings from 2001 to 2019
- Moved back to Prior Lake in the fall of 2019
My pickleball origin story may be similar to yours. I was introduced to pickleball while visiting my parents at their Palm Desert, CA condo in February of 2020. This desert community of "mature adults" played a game called pickleball from 8am to 10am on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. I was a three sport athlete in HS and also played some college level hockey so I said "Sure, I'll give it try. How hard can it be and my competition doesn't look too spry." During my first game I was systematically destroyed by a 76 year old woman on the other team. I was a young 51 at that the time and was left in a state of disbelief and despair while re-thinking all of my life choices since birth.
I vowed to play pickleball for the next 11 months so I could prepare for a rematch when I returned to face her in 2021. Join me on this all-inclusive pickleball adventure to hear the rest of the story....
